Kenneth J. Durand BA, BBA, CPA, CA
Ken began his Public Accounting career as a partner in the Kitchener office of Ward Mallette Chartered Accountants. In 1994, Ken and his wife Barbara moved to Prescott, acquired a small accounting practice and have enjoyed the lifestyle of living and working in a small community. Ken has specialized in working with small business owners throughout his entire career. His management training has helped him to both understand the issues facing small business owners and to recommend solutions for their business in the areas of management, accounting, taxation and performance measurement. Ken has been involved in numerous local charitable and not for profit organizations including the St. Lawrence Shakespeare Festival, The Prescott and District Chamber of Commerce, The Prescott BIA, The Rotary Club of Prescott and Community and Primary Health Care (CPHC) Brockville. At present, Ken is the treasurer of the Sherwood Park Foundation.
Barb Durand
Barb is not only Ken’s partner in life but she also plays an active role in the accounting practice. She has over 30 years experience working with Ken in the public accounting practice. Barb assists in personal income tax preparation and is responsible for all the administrative functions for the practice.
Ken L. Durand Jr.
Ken is a graduate of Sir Sandford Fleming College with a diploma in Aquaculture. Ken specializes in personal income tax preparation and client monthly accounting and is responsible for our new performance measurement services. Ken also is our resident IT specialist for our firm’s IT requirements and also assists clients in this area.
Francine Levere B.Comm., CPA, CA
Fran joined the firm in September 2010 after completing a Bachelor of Commerce with concentration in Accounting at Carleton University. She earned her Chartered Accountant designation in June 2013.
In 2013, Fran was named Young Professional of the Year by the Brockville and District Chamber of Commerce. She spent 4 years as a big sister through big brothers big sisters of Leeds and Grenville and also served as treasurer of the organization for 2 years.
Fran’s primary focus is providing audit, review and notice to reader financial statements for not-for-profit organizations and small businesses.
Tracy Dumond
Tracy is a graduate of St. Lawrence College with a diploma in both Business Administration Accounting and Office Administration. Tracy joined Durand and Associates upon graduation and continues to play an integral role in dealing with both business and corporate client matters. She has gained significant amount of experience in working with clients over the past 20 years.
Daniel Cliffen B.Comm., CPA,CA
Dan has worked in various capacities as a Chartered Professional Accountant: Auditor at Deloitte Haskin & Sells, Internal Auditor at the Oshawa Group, Project Manager (accounting systems) with The Federal Government, Audit Manager, BDO Dunwoody Ward Mallette and controller of Sherwood Park Manor. Dan works with individuals in the preparation of their Personal Income Tax Returns in the Brockville Office.
Nicholas Dinh B.Sc.
Nick is a graduate of Queen’s University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. Nick joined the firm in January, 2013 in order to pursue his designation as a Chartered Accountant. Nick is a member of the 1000 Islands Rotary Club of Brockville and the Canadian Tax Foundation.
Jenn Austin
Jenn is a graduate of Sir Sandford Fleming College with a diploma in Event Management. In addition to her reception responsibilities Jenn is involved in personal tax preparation, handling personal tax matters with the Canada Revenue Agency and monthly bookkeeping for clients. She is presently studying to improve her accounting skills.
